Kantipur International College hosted its grand Farewell Program for the graduating students of 2081 on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Aloft Hotel, Thamel. The event commenced with a tea/coffee and cookies session from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by the formal program from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Mr. Nabin Kumar K.C., the host of the program, guided the proceedings, which included an array of distinguished guests such as Mr. Naveen Kumar Joshi (Chairperson), Mr. Nilmani Pokharel (Chief Guest), Mr. Karna Shakya (Keynote Speaker), Mr. Pratap Raj Joshi (Executive Director), Dr. Narendra Kumar Shrestha (Principal), singer Mahesh Kafle, university dignitaries, KIC alumni, HODs, program coordinators, faculty members, staff, and students. Highlights of the event featured the Khada distribution by Ms. Alisha Dhimal and students, Deep Prajwolan (lighting the Panas) by the chief guest and other dignitaries, a national anthem, a short video showcasing student glimpses, and a welcome speech by Dr. Narendra Kumar Shrestha. Performances included a welcome dance by Hasina & Team, a dance by Ms. Swostika Sapkota, and another by Ms. Ankita Kunwar. Mr. Shakya captivated the audience with his profound insights on leadership, sustainability, and personal development. His speech, infused with anecdotes and wisdom from his extensive career, left a lasting impression on the graduates, faculty, and distinguished guests. Following his speech, a token of appreciation was presented to Mr. Shakya by the Chairperson, Mr. Naveen Kumar Joshi, and the Chief Guest, Mr. Nilmani Pokharel. This gesture acknowledged Mr. Shakya’s significant contribution to the event and his invaluable role in inspiring the future leaders of Kantipur International College. The student of MBA 2020 Spring was awarded for his Gold Medal in 12th Purbanchal Convocation. The event also featured a musical performance by national singer Mr.Mahesh Kafle and a token of love distribution to students by the guests and college management. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Pratap Raj Joshi, followed by lunch.
