On July 28, 2024, Kantipur International College hosted a dynamic workshop on SMEs Business Financing for the second-semester students of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program. This workshop, aimed at providing practical insights into the financial aspects of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), was led by Mr. Pankaj Niraula an experienced SME Officer and Project Coordinator of NMB Bank.
The workshop spotlighted the critical role of financing in the growth and sustainability of SMEs. Students were introduced to a variety of financing options, including bank loans, microfinance, venture capital, and government grants. The session also tackled the challenges SMEs face in securing financing and strategies to overcome these obstacles.
Mr. Pankaj Niraula shared extensive knowledge and real-world experience, offering detailed explanations of financial processes, documentation requirements, and risk assessments involved in securing funding for SMEs. Students gained valuable insights into financial planning and management practices essential for the success of small businesses.
Highly interactive, the workshop engaged students in discussions and case study analyses. They explored real-life scenarios of SME financing, learning how to evaluate financial statements, prepare loan applications, and develop business plans that appeal to potential investors and lenders.
